CZ- the Sparkling
Alternative to Diamonds
If diamonds are a girl’s best friend and you find yourself
friendless, there is still hope, and its name is Cubic Ziconia (CZ).
Cubic zirconia is an inexpensive diamond substitute which was
first
produced commercially in 1976. Created in the laboratory, these stones resemble flawless white diamonds
since they are almost always colorless and perfectly shaped.

Cubic zirconia can be
evaluated using the same qualities that diamonds and other gemstones are graded
by the 4 C’s: Cut, Clarity, Color, Carat weight.
·
Cut (the shape): round, oval, pear, emerald,
heart, princess.
·
Clarity: how well light refracts through the
stone.
·
Color: how close to colorless the stone is.
·
Carat weight: 1.00 carat (ct) equals 100
points.
Today CZ’s enjoy status as a gemological competitor to
diamonds. CZ’s are available in a wide
variety of colors such as pink, amethyst, blue and yellow, mirroring the trend
of colored diamonds.
So, while diamonds are beautiful, rare
and expensive, CZ’s are BEAUTIFUL, ABUNDANT and AFFORDABLE. Fill your
world with the glimmer of diamonds at a fraction of the cost with CZ’s (a girl’s best kept secret!).
